Juana is the founder and principal consultant at NOVAMANTO Urban Architecture, an independent research and consulting platform dedicated to advancing sustainable urban innovation through transdisciplinary methods. With over 17 years of experience in urban research, territorial analysis, and architectural practice, she leads projects that develop and apply methodologies focused on urban metabolism, environmental resilience, and energy efficiency.

Her work integrates emerging technologies such as IoT systems, digital twins, and community-based environmental monitoring (CBM) to deliver adaptive and evidence-based urban solutions. She holds a Ph.D. in Cities and Landscapes from the Università degli Studi della Basilicata (2024) and has served as a Research Fellow collaborating with universities, local governments, and international institutions.

Her research spans fragile ecosystems and heritage urban contexts, focusing on creating smart, regenerative, and climate-sensitive urban models. She has contributed to high-impact scientific publications (Q1 journals), presented at international conferences, and developed tools such as the MACS (Sustainable Construction Analysis Model) and MuSIASEM for multiscale urban assessment.

Her approach bridges data science, local knowledge, and technology to tackle complex urban challenges such as climate change, dispersed urbanization, and heritage conservation. She is currently seeking to strengthen academic partnerships and contribute to programs focused on urban planning, sustainable architecture, and technology-driven territorial management.
